Deviation Actions
I recently have run across some journal entries that describe how "Deviantart was so much better back when it (you fill in the blank)." They often go on to say something like "I am not sure where I want to go from here... whether to remain or run..." My answer is leave, as soon as possible. If you don't understand that Deviantart is a community, that all communities evolve, and if you're not comfortable with change, then perhaps the solution for you is to go elsewhere.
I personally welcome how Deviantart is transforming itself . . . well, mostly (but not always). But as long as I remain here on Deviantart, I know that I don't control the direction the community will go, it will decide that collectively. I'm always mystified by those who prefer a static world. Bottom line, if Deviantart isn't what you think it should be, you are completely free to leave at any time.

Respect the Models - Use Common Sense!!!
It's time to revisit the issue of "what can I safely say here and what is problematic." It's actually fairly simply, but the standard is non-negotiable and I will enforce it diligently.
Please know that any comments that are sexual, overtly or slyly, are not acceptable. While many of the models are nude or very nude, this isn't Penthouse or Hustler. We don't care to hear what turns you on or any of your sexual fantasies. Models routinely take a lot of risks in sharing their beauty with the world, and we will respect their professionalism and privacy.
You are not required to say only positive things about the models, but there is no reason f
Respect The Models and Ban the Trolls
In response to the dramatic increase in the number of idiotic comments, I will be using this policy on my profile here:
1) If you make a disrespectful comment about any model, your comment will be hidden.
2) If you make an idiotic comment about any model, you will be blocked.
Please don't pretend that you are being censored. Free speech doesn't guarantee you the right to be obnoxious.
I am completely committed to every woman being able to seek the life she desires. Much of my work here is of nude women. Each one has chosen to share their natural beauty with the world. Never is this an invitation for anyone to make any

Using my work . . .
Once again, another DeviantArt member has told me that he/she has used my work for his/her own purpose. Because I am a professional photographer, in most circumstances it is not practical for me to give away my work.
Before you use my work, please learn what protection a copyright provides.
United States copyright laws allow for fair use of a copyrighted work. However, fair use is much narrower than most people think (hint: it doesnt mean Its fair usage for me to use someone elses work however I choose if I claim its art.)
Fair use is also very dynamic, and the proliferation of di

I've been involved for 9 years with DA and I understand change and usually welcome it with arms and eyes wide open... the only thing that bugs me has been the DA T-Shirt Design Challenge contests...they're not design contests, they're Popularity Contests! It's sad that someone can just add a thumb to a journal and because they are the popular type, not artistic, Lo and Behold, they win! That's my only whine, and I make sure I have cheese and crackers when I do!
